Original Colorado Plein Air Landscape Painting "Grand Mesa"

This painting was done on location in Grand Mesa National Forest near Delta, Colorado.  I was there just past the peak of the fall colors and it was fairly cold.  Though in the 40's when I began the painting, the temperature dropped quickly as the clouds rolled in.  By the time I finished up the painting, it was near freezing and I had to put on mittens as my fingers were numb.
