Original Pencil Horse Drawing "On the Run"

When I got the idea for this drawing, I wanted action and movement.  I also wanted the unusual shape for the final  piece and decided after the majority of the drawing was complete to do something interesting with the edges of the paper.  Though I am very pleased with how it came out, drawing, edges, and all, I must say that the most tedious part of this whole experience was carefully and artfully tearing the edges of the paper.  It is mounted over black and is kind of shadow boxed with the matting, showing the torn edges.... a very cool affect, but maybe something that I will think twice about before attempting it again.
