Here comes Day 28!  It's hard to believe I only have two artworks left to complete for this challenge!  I went back to my other favorite subject matter today with a landscape. 

Last fall I had the amazing opportunity to teach a plein air workshop in Bellingham, Washington.  My students and I gathered around Lake Padden and the views didn't disappoint.  It was really amazing to me, being a Colorado artist, how different my color palette was in Washington. The colors steer away from my usual blues and purples and veer more towards olive greens and browns.  I loved the new palette and had a great time teaching and painting.  When walking around the lake trying to pick the place for the class, I found a number of lovely areas with calm waters and beautiful trees.  I really liked this scene with the rocks in the foreground.
