I have made it to the halfway point for my 30 day challenge!  I feel like I just started!  I'm so pleased to  have a number of pieces sell, and even had a few people who expressed that they wished they hadn't lost out on the artwork. For Day 15 I have chosen to paint a Colorado Landscape. 

This magnificent mountain is a twin summit in the Northwest Elk Mountain Range of the Rocky Mountains called Mount Sopris.  In my opinion, it is one of the most stunning peaks as it rises above everything around it.  Driving through Carbondale, Colorado and up and over McClure Pass offers some of the most beautiful views in the state, maybe even the country.  I've painted this mountain a few times over the years as it offers such a dramatic composition.
